I have always loved taking photos. During the past few years I’ve become very involved in enlarging, framing, and showing my artwork. To my surprise and gratification, I’ve been doing very well. I believe my fondness for photographic art shows in my work. I’m an avid historian and have a deep interested in capturing a place in time.
In August 2008 I had two photos of my “Chew Mail Pouch Tobacco Barns” juried into Tamarack of WV. My photo, “Very Berry” was juried into the Huntington Museum of Art for a one month Exhibition in August 2008. My photo, “Early Dawn” was juried into the HMOA in Exhibition 2006. “Curious Caden” was selected as a semi-finalist in the Childrens’ category in the International Open Amateur Photograph Contest sponsored by www.picture.com.
I am presently a member of the Upstairs Art Gallery in Ashland, KY. I’ve also displayed my photographs and won several awards through competitive art exhibitions at the MAGI Art Show in Morehead, KY, the Ironton Artists Associations Exhibit in Ironton, OH and the Foothills Art Festival in Jackson, OH.
In September 2006 I was juried into the Allied Artists of Charleston, WV. Since October 2005, I’ve been a member of the Tri-State Arts Association. I’m also an active member of the Ironton, OH Art Association. Since 2004 my photos have been displayed at the Annual Art Walk in Lancaster, Ohio. I will participate in Art-in-the-Park in June and September at Huntington’s Ritter Park. I will also be involved in the annual Visual Arts of FestivALL in Charleston, WV in June.
