I'm Sonia Lawson. I was born and raised in Logan Co.WV. I was juried into Allied Artist of WV last April. I first remember being able to draw in the second grade. I had a few classes during High School. Later I enrolled in Art classes at SWVCC in 1974 when I graduated. Professor Lynn Earnest was my instructor at that time and later.
I enjoy painting landscapes,still-life,wildlife,and nature scenes. The since 2006 I've been using water base oils. I went about 20 odd years without painting and now I'm trying to make up for time lost.
I'm thankful to my Heavenly Father for any talent that I may have and the pleasure that I take from painting.
