janet_parker_pix.jpgI am currently painting in acrylic, and drawing in pastels and colored pencils.
My art inspiration comes from many things, especially my love of nature and the beauty of the world. We are fortunate to live in beautiful West Virginia with its seasons and awesome landscape. When I returned to the state, I was as thrilled as a child when the first snowfall covered the ground. Snow hasn’t lost its magic.
I was born and raised in Kanawha County, but married and lived in Louisiana for about thirty-five years. I returned to the state ten years ago and have worked in Kanawha County Schools as an art specialist. I recently retired and am happy in my new life.
I have exhibited in juried shows in Louisiana, Arkansas, Texas, and West Virginia.
