As a member of Allied Artists of WV, I participate in the Charleston Art Walk Series. I have also shown my work at Carnegie Hall in Lewisburg and the Museum in the Community at Hurricane. I hope that when one is viewing my paintings, that emotions of some sort are stirred; whether those emotions are of anger, joy, peace or conflict. I also want my paintings to enhance the imagination of those that view them. What I enjoy most is for a viewer to see and tell a story about my paintings. Painting has always been a part of my life. However, until the last few years, it was only an occasional part. After retiring from a career as a math teacher, I felt a need to use the other side of my brain, the creative side, and paint. I have painted voraciously, anything from watercolor to oils, from landscapes, street scenes to floras. My recent trip to Africa inspired my latest passion, African animals and the African people.
