Bonita Sink, a native West Virginian, has been practicing her craft for 36 years as a commissioned portrait/landscape painter and a public school Art teacher. Bonita, who is a 1976 graduate of Concord University with a degree in Art Education, has done graduate work through Marshall University. Beginning her career as an Art teacher in 1976, she presently teaches Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, Mosaic, Photography and Advanced Placement Studio Art (for college credit) at Princeton High School. She is currently Mercer County School’s Art Chairperson. Her work has been displayed at The Bronze Look, Tamarack, Over The Summit Art Gallery, GetsmART Gallery and the Parkersburg Art Center. In addition she has been commissioned for works of art from clients across the U.S. Bonita is married to Jerry Sink and they have two sons. “As a child, I loved to draw but I did not have an art class until my junior year of high school. Mrs. Paula Taylor, Art teacher at Matoaka High School, helped me to realize how important creative expression is.
