I agreed to be Interim President of Allied Artists of West Virginia. I joined Allied Artists because I wanted to interact with other artists. I never in my wildest dreams believed that I would have this responsibility. I intend to do my best but I do not intend to be the President for more than the time it takes to have a new election. I do believe we need some organization changes and we need to become a more interactive "do-things-together" type of organization. Here are some of my ideas...
1. A five year plan with the objective of having our own gallery, classrooms, and meeting room. We need your input on all of these ideas but the most important thing is what you, the members, envision. I plan to be at the Bob Evans in Teays Valley on November 15, 2008 at 8:00 A. M. to have Breakfast and a social hour with any members who wish to come. Just come talk and get to know each other especially members from Huntington area which we don’t often meet at the meetings. I would like to do this in Beckley in the future and invite the members in the Bluefield area and other points south. How about a meeting in Parkersburg or Wheeling or Lewisburg?
