Art Studio Space

PDF Print Email

If you need art studio space, here is some great news!

Jeff Thomas has contacted AAWV about space in The Masonic Temple building at Virginia and Hale St. The building is owned by four Masonic bodies who use the building for their purposes thereby almost eliminating the possiblity of the building ever being sold.  There is space available of various sizes located throughout the building.  There is space located on the lower level with access from Virginia St for a lower cost.  The space is currently one large area that was used by some of their affiliated organizations and can be sub-divided to suit artisits needs.  It is currently being used for storage.  He will need at least four artists to commit to take space in order to propose this idea to the Board of Directors of the building and have the stored items moved.  With that commitment he will propose the idea to the Board of Directors to create the $65/ month 10x15 spaces.

The building offers:
Space for art shows.
Store front window that can be used occassionally to display art.
Hallways to display art.
There are currently two other art studios.
A parking garage and a parking lot, both within 1 block.
Two hour limit metered parking.
Utilities included.
Janitorial service available.
On site building manager.
Lobby music.
Charleston landmark.
