ENCOURAGING WORDS FROM PATTY STEWART:
There’s nothing wrong with living a comfortable life or reducing risk. We all like to be comfortable. But any teacher will tell you that in order to learn and grow, we must risk leaving our comfort zone and try things that might make us feel vulnerable. Trying new things is risky. But we can’t grow doing the same thing over and over. True students of art try new things and give themselves permission to fail. We learn more trying and failing than we do repeatedly doing the same thing in order to never take a risk.
